What is AWANA?
AWANA is a ministry for kids age 3 all the way through 6th grade. A carefully tailored curriculum for each age group takes kids on an exciting journey through the Bible.
The Awana program is non-denominational and Bible-centered, and the club meetings are open to all. Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material and model the Christian life for them through small group relationships.
Clubbers learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. They also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives. In a world lacking in high standards of morality and ethics, Awana uses the Bible to teach children to honor God and their fellow human beings in a way that is relevant to their lives, engaging and fun!
What does AWANA stand for?
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed ( 2 Timothy 2:15 ). The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls for Christ and train them to serve Him, all in a context of fun and excitement.
